The qathet Inclusive Manufacturing Pilot Project was an 18-month inclusive employment project that manufactured and sold firestarters while piloting an inclusive employment model at a social enterprise called OneLight.

​

While the employment model led to a valuable work experience for most employee participants, there were many challenges related to supporting/ retaining management as well as establishing a stable funding model.

​

The tips for employers below were developed based on the learning from both successes and challenges at OneLight.
