Who we are
qathet (pronounced KA'thet) is a word that means “people working together” in the local language of the Tla’amin First Nation. We chose this name for the project as it is the name of the region in which we operate and the significance of the word aptly describes what we are hoping to achieve: a successful model of inclusion in employment in the manufacturing industry.
Over the next 18 months until April 2022 we will be testing a social enterprise model where persons with and without disabilities work alongside each other in the production of a high quality handmade fire starter.
